Cleared in the holidays, ready for term
School clearances have one immovable date: the first day of term. We book into the October week, the Christmas and Easter breaks or the summer holidays, clear classrooms, cupboards, stores and libraries in one planned run, and hand back rooms that are ready for the new furniture to land in.
- Booked to the holidaysWhole job planned into the break, finished before term.
- Re-used where we canServiceable furniture and books offered on rather than binned.
- Compliant and documentedWEEE for IT, transfer notes for the estates file.

Who this is for
School & Nursery Clearance for every situation
For commercial clients
What you need on file before we quote your school & nursery clearance
Everything a main contractor, facilities manager or surveyor asks for, answered before you have to ask.
RAMS before we start
Risk assessments and method statements issued for every commercial job, written for the actual site rather than a template. Send us your pre-construction information and we will work to it.
Insurance you can verify
Public liability and employer's liability cover in place, with certificates supplied on request before works begin. If your framework needs a specific limit, ask us and we will confirm in writing.
CDM-aware on site
On notifiable projects we work under the principal contractor's arrangements — site induction, permits to work, and our operatives sequenced into your programme rather than turning up unannounced.
Out of hours as standard
Evenings, nights and weekends at no premium on planned work, so a live building keeps trading and a site keeps moving. Phased floor-by-floor handover where you need it.
Diversion figures you can report
Waste segregated by stream and a diversion-from-landfill figure supplied per project, which is what BREEAM assessors and ESG reporting ask for. Over 80% diverted across our work.
The paperwork, every load
A duty-of-care waste transfer note for every single uplift under SEPA registration WCR/R/3002381, filed and reissued on request. Consignment support where a licensed specialist handles the hazardous side.
Before any refurbishment or demolition work, a refurbishment and demolition asbestos survey is the duty holder's legal responsibility under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. We do not disturb asbestos — where a survey identifies it, a licensed contractor removes it before we begin.

About this service
What we can and cannot take out of a school
Furniture, IT, library stock, soft play, PE equipment and the contents of thirty years of cupboards — all of that is straightforward, and it is what fills most of the lorries we send to schools in the summer. Old IT and interactive whiteboards are handled under WEEE (anything with a plug or a battery) regulations and documented, which matters because a school's asset register and its disposal records have to agree.
What we do not take is anything clinical or chemical. Science prep-room reagents, first-aid sharps and anything asbestos-related need specialist contractors with the right licences and consignment notes. We will say so before we quote rather than leave a science department with half a job, and we will clear everything else in the same visit.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
No. Science prep-room chemicals, sharps and anything asbestos-related need specialist licensed contractors. We take the furniture, IT and general waste and will tell you up front what needs somebody else.
We can, out of hours, but almost all school clearances are better planned into the October week, Christmas, Easter or summer break — and we book those up early.
Serviceable furniture, library stock and equipment are offered for re-use or donated wherever there is a taker. Only what nobody can use is broken down for recycling.
Yes — computers, monitors, projectors and interactive whiteboards are recycled under WEEE regulations with paperwork for your asset disposal records.
From £100 + VAT, priced by volume. Send a room list and we will quote one fixed price for the whole holiday run.
