Scotland’s junk
A clearance crew for the kingdom
Dunfermline has grown fast, and so has the amount of clearing that goes with it — new-build handovers, downsizing from the older stone properties, and the constant churn of rented flats near the town centre. We cover all of it, plus the West Fife towns around it.
- Booked around youNo slot criteria to check site by site.
- One visit, one priceBig loads cleared in one go rather than rationed trips.

Local knowledge
Fife's network, and why it pays to check before you travel
Fife Council runs recycling centres including Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Lochgelly, St Andrews, Ladybank and Cupar, covering the kingdom from the Forth up to the Tay. Dunfermline Recycling Centre is at Lochhead Landfill Site, north of Wellwood (KY12 0RX); Kirkcaldy is on Denburn Road (KY1 2HD).
Both open seven days a week, 9am to 5:45pm through April to September, and all the centres run year-round except 25 and 26 December and 1 and 2 January. Kirkcaldy closes for lunch from 12:30pm to 1:15pm — unusual, and exactly when most people would go. Dunfermline has no such closure.
Fife doesn't require everyone to book, but some vehicle types must, and the criteria are published per centre. That per-site variation is the theme here: it's a large network built up over time, and hours, booking rules and accepted materials can all differ between two centres twenty minutes apart.
The accepted list at Dunfermline is broad and includes a few things commonly refused elsewhere — bathroom suites and carpet among them, plus independent living equipment such as walking frames and sticks. Empty paint tins are accepted; paint itself is not, which catches people out regularly.

Questions
Rubbish removal in Dunfermline — your questions
Yes — Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly, Kelty, St Andrews, Cupar and the coastal towns. Dunfermline and West Fife are just where most of our Fife work sits.
Not in bulk — Fife's centres take empty tins but not liquid paint, and neither can we in a general load. Dried-out tins are fine. For anything else we'll point you at the right route rather than load it.
No. Fife publishes booking criteria per centre and they vary. None of that applies to a collection — you send a photo, we fix a price, we come.
Yes. Suites, units, tiles and rubble are all fine. Heavy inert (the heavy stuff — rubble, concrete, brick and soil) material is priced by weight at £149 per tonne, which is usually cheaper than by volume for that kind of load.
£160 + VAT for a quarter load, £290 half, £390 three-quarters and £550 full, fixed from your photo before we come.
